The CEO of a top three travel firm addressed several hundred business leaders during ITB year as follows: "When I started in this business, my boss, a very old man, at least 34, told me that you only need two things to get on in the travel business; 1) You have to remember that things will get worse during the good times, and that they will get better during the bad times. 2) You have to have the stubbornness to stick with it until the good times appear again." Timeless means breaking through cyclicality. One can leverage either states of the market if deeply connected to their creation. Knowing exactly where you are going creates a centered approach unaffected by external conditions. When you know. You know. The rest does not matter. External conditions void. There’s always a silver lining when you read in between the lines. Pattern recognition. The most impactful start-ups are timeless.
